Scot van den Driesen has over 20 years experience as a writer/CD and many more having his name misspelled. He has worked in the US and Australia with some of the world’s biggest brands, leading projects for Reebok, Instagram, Levis, Frito Lay and 3M.
Highlights include Cardi B twerking an idea to one billion impressions, turning an ancient land into the world’s newest tourist destination, and launching a 90’s one-hit wonder into the stratosphere.
He is currently Founder and CD at Hail Mary & Friends— an Australian-based, globally-experienced collective of senior creative talent that specialises in answering your advertising prayers late in the game, when you need it most, wherever you are in the world.
Prior to life in advertising he spent too many years as an academic, culminating in an invitation to present at an international conference on post-modernism. His presentation was entitled ‘The Contemporary Decentered Self as Analyzed through Filmic Collage’, or as he likes to call it, ‘Free Trip to Germany.’
In his spare time he takes photographs, and has been exhibited alongside photographers who do it for a living.
He has judged the Webbys and One Show Young Ones, with work recognized by award shows and people who buy things.
